Lexmark B2236dw Overview
The Lexmark B2236dw driver is the software Windows and Linux need to print on the Lexmark B2236dw, a compact black-and-white laser printer with Wi-Fi, Ethernet and automatic two-sided printing. Below you will find the official Lexmark Printer Software G4 driver package (version 4.3.0.0), the full G4 driver and software bundle, the Lexmark Universal Print Driver and the Linux CUPS driver files, each linked directly to Lexmark's own download server.
The B2236dw prints up to 36 pages per minute on Letter paper (34 ppm on A4), has a 250-sheet tray plus a single-sheet manual feed, and is built on a steel frame for small offices. Because it is a print-only device, there is no scanner driver to set up: the G4 installer adds the B2236dw printer driver and walks you through a USB, Ethernet or wireless connection on Windows 11 and Windows 10. Lexmark does not publish a separate macOS driver for this model: Macs print to it through Apple AirPrint, so on macOS you simply add the printer in System Settings. The free Lexmark app for iOS and Android can also handle the wireless setup from your phone.

How to Install the Lexmark B2236dw Driver
- Download the G4 driver package for Windows, or the .deb or .rpm file for your Linux distribution, from the links above.
- Turn on the B2236dw and connect it to your network by Ethernet or Wi-Fi, or keep a USB cable ready for a direct connection.
- On Windows, run the .exe and follow the Lexmark installer; on Linux, install the package with your package manager and add the printer in CUPS.
- Select the B2236dw when the installer searches the network, or plug in the USB cable when you are asked.
- Print a test page and check that automatic two-sided printing is enabled in Printing Preferences.
The G4 Drivers package is enough for most users; the full Driver and Software package adds extra Lexmark tools that a print-only model like the B2236dw rarely needs. The Universal Print Driver is meant for offices that manage many Lexmark printers with one driver. On a Mac, skip the downloads: open System Settings, go to Printers & Scanners, click Add Printer and pick the B2236dw, which then works through AirPrint. If Windows cannot find the printer on Wi-Fi, print a network setup page from the printer menu to check its IP address, and make sure your computer is on the same network.
